Arizona General Education Curriculum
The Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) is designed to fulfill all lower division General Education requirements at the public universities in Arizona. The AGEC-A fulfills general education requirements for the Associate of Arts degree, the AGEC-B fulfills the general education requirements for the Associate of Business degree, and the AGEC-S fulfills the requirements for the Associate of Science degree at Yavapai College. A minimum of twelve credit hours in the AGEC certificate must be completed at Yavapai College.
Upon completion of all 35 credit hours of the AGEC with a grade of "C" of higher, the student will receive recognition of Certificate completion on the transcript and guaranteed transferability of the AGEC to any one of the state universities in Arizona. The AGEC is also a good framework for general education courses if a student plans to transfer to a private college or university or an out-of-state college or university. Academic Advisors will assist students in making the best choices amongst the course options depending on the student's educational goal and degree program.
