"Framing the Future" FEC Fundraiser

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

The first fundraising luncheon to support ongoing operations at the Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center at Yavapai College

On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, a luncheon will be held at 11:00 a.m. to support the Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center. The fundraiser will be held in the Susan N. Webb Community Room (bldg. 19, room 147) on the Prescott Campus of Yavapai College.

Proceeds from the “Framing the Future” luncheon will benefit the Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center (F.E.C.) by providing needed funds that will ensure that the F.E.C. continues to serve as a model for other early childhood education facilities in the state and across the country. The F.E.C. serves as a lab school for Early Childhood Education students entering the field and allows future teachers to gain hands-on experience under the guidance of a highly trained and educated teaching staff. Small group sizes, low child to adult ratios, and a focus on learning all reflect the FEC’s commitment to quality programming for young children.

The F.E.C. needs community support to enable it to offset the high cost of sustaining a quality early care and education program so that it can to remain affordable for parents, many who are students themselves. Every penny that comes as a result of this fundraiser will go directly to the operating fund of the F.E.C., having a direct impact on children and families.

The goal for F.E.C. teaching staff is that children will develop a frame of reference for their developing ideas and knowledge. Children are encouraged to build on their natural inquisitiveness and to cultivate a lifelong passion for learning. When children are involved with quality early childhood programs they have positive early learning experiences that support their later success in school and assist them in becoming productive members of society.

You have the opportunity to make a difference for our children!

People will know that you went above and beyond to support the fine work that goes on for the children of the Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center; the students who are studying early childhood courses, the parents who entrust their children to the care of the F.E.C. and to our community.
