Summer Bridge Grant

High School Summer "Bridge" Grants are available for Summer Classes

Who qualifies?

Yavapai County high school students who will be ending their junior or senior years and recent GED recipients (within the last six months) are eligible to receive a High School Summer Bridge Grant (HSFND).

Up to 3 credit hours will be covered for any course offered during the summer.

Students may choose to enroll in more than 3 credit hours; however, they will be responsible to pay any remaining balance due after the HSFND has been applied. In addition, HSFND does not cover the cost of lab fees or books. Grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

How do you apply?

  1. The student must meet with an academic advisor to select a course(s) and complete a registration card.
  2. An academic advisor (or Registration staff member at outlying campuses) signs and issues an HSFND coupon including student name, social security number, and the number of credits to be covered, not to exceed 3 credits or $147.
  3. The student registers.
  4. The student must immediately take the completed coupon to the Business Office or Cashier for payment to receive their class schedule. Any remaining balance above 3 credit hours or $147 shall be paid by the student at this time.
  5. Enjoy a wonderful summer educational experience at Yavapai College!
