Marisa Lester

Hi, my name is Marisa Lester. I was born in Phoenix , AZ . I moved to Chino Valley when I was 10 and went to Chino Valley schools.

I applied to the Honors Program, because I was forced too, literally. I was pulled out of class by Mr. Morgan at the Chino Valley campus. He told me, "You will apply to this program". I had never heard of the Honors Programs, but after looking over the Honors program, I decided that I would apply.

The Honors Program is a great help to my education. Besides the financial help, each class challenges my thinking and pushes me to become a better person by being able to explore many new ideas. I really enjoy all of the different topics we discuss and the yearly spring trip that we take.

Currently, I am working on an Associates of Science with an emphasis in Agriculture and an Associates of Applied Science In the area of Agricultural Technology Management. My plans are to continue my education at Arizona State University and a career in the agricultural field.
