National radio host, author, storyteller, poet and humorist Garrison Keillor brings his down-home, engaging talents to Prescott for the first time. Keillor is perhaps best known as host and writer of NPR’s long-running "A Prairie Home Companion" radio show, which revolves around stories from the fictional town of Lake Wobegon. Reviewers have compared Keillor to Mark Twain, Will Rogers, and James Thurber. Keillor has authored more than a dozen books, including three for children, many short stories and poetry.
“The folksy, down-home nature of [Keillor’s} themes…tend to celebrate and uphold the values of small-town America.” – eNotes.com
