Critical Thinking Course Outcomes

Upon completion of any Critical Thinking course in the Liberal Studies Requirement Block, students will be able to:

  1. describe the elements and aspects of the critical thinking processes;
  2. process critically and communicate information through writing, reading, speaking, viewing and/or listening;
  3. define and create effective solutions to problems;
  4. recognize that closure is not always achieved in intellectual discourse;
  5. formulate and articulate informed choices based on refined critical thinking skills;
  6. construct pertinent questions;
  7. apply critical thinking skills when assessing philosophical, scientific, societal, and individual issues.
