Do you want to prepare for the GED test?
There are two ways to get prepared for the GED test:
- You can self study and view the home study videos, or
- Enroll in the FREE GED orientation to begin the study program.
What will I do at the GED Orientation?
- learn about the GED test and the GED study program;
- complete initial reading, math and language tests; and
- register for your GED preparation class.
Registration starts November 30 for January Orientations.
How do I register for the GED Orientation?
- Apply for admission at the college.
- If you are a first-time Yavapai College student
complete the online admissions process. (write down the "username" and "password" assigned to you.)- If you have registered as a student in the past, but you don't know your "username" and "password"

If you have trouble with this step, come to the closest Yavapai College registration office for assistance. - Find the Orientation you want to attend. Scroll down on this page to the Orientation schedules. Find the date and time that works best for you. Write down the CRN for the class you selected.
- Go to http://my.yc.edu and login with your YC Username and Password.
- Go to "My Registration" and "Register/Drop Classes." Choose Spring 2010 for the term.
- Enter the CRN and Submit Changes. Enter the Start Date printed on the page. Submit Changes.
- Print your schedule -- we'll see you there.
- Bring a current ID and your YC username and password to the GED Orientation.
Students 16 or 17 years old must register in person and bring a conditional admission form signed by a parent or guardian.
