Paula Tomitz was born in Austin, Texas. She graduated in the top 10% from her high school in El Paso, TX.
Paula received a Bachelors in Teacher's Education from UTEP. She went on to get a Masters in Physical Education, with an emphasis in Health Promotion, from the University of New Mexico.
Paula competed in body building contests from 1983 to 1992. She was chosen as an alternate for the American Gladiators Live Tour in 1992 in ABQ, NM.

- taught physical education classes
Her hobbies include running, doing crosswords, and reading. Paula is married with two adorable sons, and two dogs.
