Title / Job Family:

Assistant I

FLSA Status:

Non-Exempt

Role Focus:

Performs routine entry level clerical and office support duties. Duties might include: typing letters, answering phones, making copies, sorting mail, etc.

Typical Scope:

Works within a specific department.

Typical Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Typical Experience:

Up to one year of work experience in an office environment preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.

Typical Level of Interaction:

Requires tact and courtesy when interacting with others; exchanges basic information to accomplish responsibilities.

Supervisory Impact:

No lead or supervisory responsibilities.

Representative Duties:

Operates computer to input and retrieve data. Operates office machines such as fax, and copy machines, etc. Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail. Greets and assists visitors.
