Role Focus:

Performs routine cleaning duties. Duties might include: keeps office building, or similar building in clean and orderly condition, etc.

Typical Scope:

Works within a specific department.

Typical Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Typical Experience:

Up to one year of work experience preferred.

Typical Level of Interaction:

Requires tact and courtesy when interacting with others; exchanges basic information to accomplish responsibilities.

Supervisory Impact:

No lead or supervisory responsibilities.

Representative Duties:

The following are examples of typical duties that may be assigned to positions in this job family. It does not imply that all positions within the job family perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned. Other duties may be assigned.

Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space. Empties trash and garbage containers. Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment. Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
