Systems Administrator II, Web Services
Exempt
Organizes and integrates planning and execution of activities around a specific program or function; may assist to develop and administer budget.
Works within a specific area requiring a specialized body of knowledge; requires an understanding of internal and external procedures and policies to produce end results
Undergraduate degree required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; masters level degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience required in the area of specialty; four or more years required at the highest complexity level
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SSL, and including Microsoft technologies and products such as Windows 2003 (all editions), Windows 2000 (all editions), FRS/DFS, Active Directory, IIS, Windows security, MSCS and NLBS. Knowledge of auditing of security and operations (performance) data, data backup/restore, and patch management. Understanding of Windows scripting technologies
Requires influencing and project management of others within the same and other departments to accomplish responsibilities; requires moderate external contact and influencing
May have lead responsibility over other employees. Carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Designs, implements and maintains systems, services, and applications related to the College’s Internet presence.
Develops documentation, audits performance, security and functionality of aforementioned systems.
Works as part of a team to design, develop and maintain the College’s Internet presence.
Analyzes new technology offerings in the marketplace and determines usefulness and appropriateness within the YC operating environment.
Develops and maintains scripts and/or programs to monitor servers, manage files, interface with databases, etc.
Provides cross-departmental support and works extensively with the Systems Administration group within the ITS department to ensure priorities and projects are aligned and new initiatives are adequately planned for and supported.
Performs related duties as assigned.
