Scope: All Employee Groups

Policy

The College provides employees who qualify with vacation time at full pay.

Procedure

Regular, full-time, employees working 12-month appointments accrue vacation credits according to the following schedule:

* The following schedule is effective 7-1-05.

Eligible Faculty 20 1.66
Administration and Management 20 1.66

An employee hired on or before the 15th of the month receives vacation credit for the month. Employees will normally be required to serve six continuous months before using accrued vacation credits. Vacations are to be planned to coordinate with College responsibilities and with the operational needs of the work unit. Employees must accrue sufficient vacation credits to support the vacation request before the vacation leave is granted. The maximum number of accumulated days cannot exceed twice the annualized vacation credit amount. The maximum amount of accrued vacation paid, upon termination, is twenty days.

Grant-supported employees may not claim vacation credit beyond the grant termination date.
