Immediate family is defined as spouse, daughter, son, mother, father, sister, brother, granddaughter, grandson, grandmother, grandfather and corresponding relatives of the employee's spouse.
Full-time employees will be granted up to five days leave with pay for bereavement in the event of death in the immediate family. This time will be in addition to, and not deducted from, sick leave time. Leave commences with notification to the appropriate supervisor.
