Nursing Instructor
Provide didactic instruction in medical-surgical nursing in an associate degree program. Provide general medical-surgical clinical instruction in multiple clinical agencies and collaborate with agency staff in planning student experiences. Assess student learning.
Collaborate with teaching team. Participate in developing, implementing and evaluating nursing courses and program. Serve on college committees. Involves some travel between Prescott and Verde Valley campuses.
Service to our students is our highest priority. Instructors can expect to participate in innovative teaching methods, and assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of interactive TV, online, day, evening and/or weekend classes.

Minimum Expectations & Requirements:
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited university in Nursing or a related field
- License as a registered nurse in Arizona that is active and in good standing or eligible for licensure
- Experience as a nurse educator or providing professional nursing care to clients within the last five years, with an emphasis on medical-surgical nursing
- Two years experience providing direct patient care
- Ability to walk independently, perform manual skills, see and hear students and clients in clinical setting
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as a member of nursing teaching team.
- Commitment to professional development
Preferred Skills, Abilities & Qualifications:
- Experience as a nurse educator in an associate degree nursing program
- Preparation as a nurse educator in graduate curriculum
