Specialist, Veterans Upward Bound

Responsibilities of the Specialist include:

Recruiting students

Marketing programs

Identifying target populations in the district and region

Providing information to prospective students

Perform intake, monitor student progress, and implement student tracking methods

Provide one-to-one guidance to current students

Maintain student records

Collect and report data

Interface with college departments to meet grant goals

Write reports and assist Director with periodic reports

Budget management and meet grant goals

• Grade / Salary - Grade: 10, Hiring Range $$35,607 - $42,882 Grant funded position 2009-2012.

Minimum Expectations & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or five years experience with Personnel Recruiting or Human Resources
• Knowledge of governing Federal Regulations
• Veteran or experience working with veterans
• Experience in developing budgets and maintaining financial data
• Experience working with diverse groups; high risk and disabled
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Knowledge of TRIO programs
