Tutors provide individual, small group, and/or drop-in academic support services to currently enrolled students seeking assistance in academic courses at Yavapai College.
Generally, tutors are expected to assist students with academic achievement in assigned subject areas.
Other assistance and duties may also include: serving as a mentor, promoting the Prescott Learning Center and its services, participating in the development of academic success workshops, reviewing class materials and instructor expectations, discussing the text, or other assistance specific to a particular subject area.
Work locations, schedules, and number of hours may vary based on student need.
Paid training using College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) guidelines will be provided.
Based on funding availability, a pay increase may be awarded upon meeting all CRLA certification requirements.
Additional required tutor training opportunities may also be provided when available.
The Prescott Campus Learning Center serves campuses throughout the Prescott Tri-City Area.

Part-time up to 19 ¾ hours per week: $7.75 per hour
