Washington State University has just posted a new web site on copyright law as it applies to higher education. Please visit the site at:

The site features a plain english narrative explaining the common copyright issues that arise in higher education. The text is supported by click-on footnotes to legal authority. Also embellishing the visual and entertainment appeal are several photos copied and posted in the site legally under applicable copyright law.

The site is hosted by Marc Lindsey, author of Copyright Law On Campus (WSU Press 2003)

  • Public Domain including a link to the Hirtle/Gasaway chart and list of web sites offering public domain copyright-free materials.
