What is an Interactive Conference Room?

Yavapai College uses Videoconferencing and Visual Communication technology from Tandberg to create and maintain a robust and reliant real-time synchronous aural and visual communications network.

A single Interactive Conference can be connected via the industry recognized H.323 communication protocol to any other single or multiple other Interactive Classrooms and Conference rooms throughout the Yavapai College district. This technology gives users the ability to meet at one campus location with complete interactivity to participants on other campuses.

An Interactive Conference Room consists of the following:

• Wall Mounted Plasma or LCD Display
• DVD/VCR Combo
• PC
• Participant Camera
• Ceiling mounted Participant Microphone System
• Tandberg 880 Codec

How Do I Use an Interactive Conference Room?

The exceptional staff of Technology Enhanced Learning Services (TELS) have created both printed and multimedia based instructions for YC’s Interactive Classrooms. Training can be arranged by contacting the Help Desk at 928-776-2168 or by email.
