Most holds that have a “checked in” status will arrive in 3-7 business days. However, it can take 7-10 days for some holds to be filled.

How do I know when my hold is ready to be picked up?

You will be notified by e-mail if you have an e-mail address in your record. If there is no e-mail address, a notice will be sent to you by postal mail.

How long will you keep my item on hold?

Can I have the item sent to another library and pick it up there?

When placing a hold, you have the option of choosing which library you want to pick up the item at.

Why can’t I place a hold on a specific item?

Some items have restrictions that prevent them having a hold placed on them. For example, Reference books and faculty use only items are not allowed to leave their respective libraries. Owing fines to the library will also prevent you from placing a hold on items.
