Library Mission

The mission of the Yavapai College Library is to support and enhance the academic, professional, and lifelong learning needs of the Yavapai College community. We do this by: Providing information resources, technology, and support necessary for success in teaching and learning; Providing environments, services, and programs that promote discovery, engagement, and the value of lifelong learning.

Underage Children

Yavapai College Libraries are open freely to college students, faculty, staff, and the community at large. However, children age 12 or younger should be under the direct supervision of a responsible caregiver (parent, guardian, assigned chaperon) and must not be left unattended in any area of the Library.

The safety and security of the children are tasks of the responsible caregiver. Library staff cannot act as caregivers to children. Older children may use the library unattended as long as they observe rules of common courtesy.

Children age 12 or under left unattended in the library are vulnerable and may become anxious, confused or disruptive.
