Housing at Yavapai College in Prescott is available for recruits living outside a 35-mile radius of NARTA headquarters.

Housing Application Instructions

Please call one of the NARTA staff at (928) 717-7940 or Fax number (520) 772-8858 and request a hard copy of the housing application packet to be sent to you immediately.

Residence Hall Information:

This information is provided to assist you in planning your stay at Yavapai College, 1100 E. Sheldon in Prescott. The following are suggestions of what you may want to bring to make your stay more comfortable.

• Alarm clock
• Bath mat
• Bedspread & Blankets
• Fan
• Iron/Hangars
• Laundry bag/basket
• Pillows
• Reading lamp
• Refrigerator, no larger than 3.5' x 2.5'
• Sheets (80" x 35")
• Stereo/Television
• Telephone
• Toilet paper
• Towels
• Typewriter/computer w/surge protector
• Wastebasket & liners

NARTA has a designated wing in Kachina Hall. There are laundry facilities (free of charge), study rooms, recreation areas and TV rooms, a community kitchen. Each room has a private bath. Basic cable is provided. Each room is wired for phones with local access and credit card or collect calls.

As a NARTA representative, recruits are responsible for keeping their rooms in good condition, as periodic inspections will take place. Suggested cleaning items are as follows:

• Cleanser for sink
• Shower stall cleaner
• Toilet bowl cleaner & brush
• Laundry soap
• Glass cleaner/paper towels
• Vacuum

Also note that:

• Cooking appliances must be limited to hot pots, small microwaves and refrigerators, coffee makers, and other such items.
• Any appliance with open coils or heating surfaces such as a toaster, hot plate, burner, etc. are not permitted. Candles, incense, oil lamps and other flammable items are not permitted, for fire safety.
• Alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted in the residence halls or on campus
• Room changes can be made only with NARTA's approval.
