Yavapai College Logo Usage Guidelines

The logo is a registered trademark of Yavapai College. As such, it can be used only for approved purposes and cannot be altered in any way.

General Guidelines Placement

Whenever possible, the logo should appear on the cover of a publication. If this is not possible, the logo should appear prominently on the back cover.

The area around the logo must be free of type or graphics. When placing text or graphics next to the logo, a minimum space of 1/4-inch around the entire logo must be maintained. The spacing and the relationship of the elements in the logo have been established so that the logo will always appear the same. This relationship may not be altered in any way.

The logo may never be used on a slant in any application. The logo may never be used in an ellipse.

When the logo is applied to items other than publications (e.g., decals, desk items, signs, T-shirts, etc.), the Coordinator of Design Services must be consulted before proceeding.

Size

The configuration of the logo must be used as a whole. It may be reduced or enlarged proportionally, but the relationship of the elements may not be altered or modified in any way.

The minimum reproduction size of the logo is never to be less than 1 ¬ wide. When placing the logo in a document created on a desktop publishing system, be sure to hold down the shift key while resizing to avoid distorting the logo.

No unauthorized logo or graphic element may be used to represent the College or any divisions, departments, programs or offices. as Sedona Center for Arts & Technology.

Use of the seal is limited. Consult with Design Services, 776-2040, concerning acceptable uses.

Do not use either the whole logo or parts of the logo as a substitute for bullets in a listing or as a recurring design element.

The logo may not be rendered as a 3-D graphic. This applies both to print and to on-line applications.

Color

The logo may print in 3 colors only. The official green for the logo is PMS 342. The other colors are black and white.

The logo should print on a solid area of color or on a white background, but not on a competitive or boldly textured background.

Consistent and correct usage of the Yavapai College logo helps achieve a proper and continuing identification for the College. Incorrect and inconsistent usage baffles the public and diminishes our visible presence.
