Yavapai College Pandemic Preparedness

Yavapai College is actively engaged in planning and preparedness efforts for the possibility of a pandemic flu.

The College will clearly communicate plans to students, employees, and our community-at-large. In coordination with Yavapai County schools, Yavapai County, and Arizona State officials, the College is working to ensure clear, effective, and coordinated risk communications during a pandemic flu.

The College will always consider the greatest good for students, employees, and the greater community prior to any action. Read the Pandemic Flu Emergency Operations Plan for Yavapai College here.

Remember, the best way to protect yourself this flu season is to WASH YOUR HANDS frequently.

The Yavapai College Facilities Management Team is also installing Hand Sanitizer Stations in central locations district-wide. Installation of the Hand Sanitizer Stations will start the week of Oct. 26, 2009.

Sanitizing Wipes called "Carpe Diem" will be available in all classrooms district wide. Carpe Diem is a disinfectant formula used to clean washable surfaces such as desktops, door knobs, keyboards, mouse, light switches, etc.

VERY IMPORTANT: Do Not Use On Computer Screens

Facilities staff will monitor the hand sanitizer and wipe dispensers. If you notice an empty one, please call Facilities 776.2180 to get it filled.
