The schedule below applies only to tuition and fees paid for credit classes. Separate refund schedules apply to other types of fees (for example, community education classes, housing, and meal plans).
Students who drop or withdraw from classes will receive a refund of tuition and fees according to the schedule below. Students enrolled in classes that the College officially cancels will receive a full refund of tuition and fees.
Note: All dates refer to self-service options using myYC - available 24/7
Deadline dates for classes 13 weeks or less in length are guided by the length of the individual class - one week of class length duration equals one day of refund. A four-week class, for example, can be dropped/withdrawn (and refunded) through the fourth day of class, and can be withdrawn (no refund) until the class is 50% complete. A seven-week class can be dropped/withdrawn (and refunded) through the seventh day of class, and can be withdrawn (no refund) until the class is 50% complete.
Classes less than one week in length must be dropped/withdrawn prior to the first day of class for a refund.
100% of fees and tuition will be refunded up to 14 days days after registering or through the end of the second week of the term (whichever is later).
Beginning the 3rd week of the term or 15 days after registering (whichever is later), no fees or tuition will be refunded.
Dropping or withdrawing a class can affect Financial Aid.
