Academic Advising

All Student Support Services program students have access to academic advising to ensure retention, graduation and transfer to a four-year institution.

SSS Academic Advising includes:

• Intensive one-hour academic advisement sessions to help students with appropriate course selection
• Referrals for placement in the basic skills classes including math, reading and writing
• Development of individualized academic and retention plans
• Financial aid advisement to assure sufficient financial support for students
• Guidance and advisement in all aspects of transferring to a four-year university or college, including university trips to ASU, NAU, and U of A
• Consistent follow-up by advisors to ensure that students' academic goals are being met
