ITV is an acronym for Interactive Instructional Television, a technology that provides point-to-point communication between remote classrooms district-wide.
ITV classrooms are outfitted with cameras, microphones, projectors, and multimedia equipment, all designed to enhance instruction and provide a convenient, interactive learning opportunity for students at various locations.
ITV training is now mandatory for all instructors who teach in ITV classrooms. Please contact Ruth Alsobrook (776-2076) to find out about scheduled trainings.
Virtually every classroom at Yavapai College is equipped with devices that allow you to use video, audio, the web, and presentation software to enhance instruction.
Each multimedia classroom (sometimes referred to as smart classrooms) has an illustrated instruction sheet posted near or on the lectern. You may download a preview copy from the Quick Guides listed below
If you have any questions, or need help using the multimedia equipment in your classroom, please call the Technology Solutions Center (the Help Desk) at 776-2168 for assistance. They are on call during classrooms hours, and are ready to assist you.
The process for people preparing to use the Susan N. Webb Community Room (19-147) or the Rock House (33-100), is to first review the training materials produced by TELS:

The second aspect is to check with Facilities on a time in advance you can reserve the room and familiarize yourself with the environment. If you find any technical outages you can report them to the HelpDesk ahead of time for resolution before your event. In regards to incidental or emergency tech support the ITS HelpDesk is staffed Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. In the event you have a technical outage in the Community Room during your presentation you can call x2168 (there is a phone in the room). The HelpDesk staff do not provide live event support as they have a commitment to cover phone calls and respond to Instructional related needs. In the event of a technical outage they can respond remotely if available, or submit a work order to the appropriate area for resolution as soon as possible.
Any aspect of your event listed below falls into the area of Facilities support. In the event you need assistance or clarification on any of these matters, please be sure to contact Facilities at x2180.
Thank you, and well wishes for your event.
