GED Testing

Who is eligible to take the GED test?

The GED Test can be administered only to persons who:

• are NOT currently enrolled in an accredited high school,
• have NOT graduated from an accredited high school
• have NOT received or qualified for a high school-level equivalency credential, and
• are age 16 or older.

You Must Pre-register

Visit either the Testing Center on the Prescott Campus, Bldg 1-225, or the Registration/Business Office on the Verde Campus, Bldg I, to pay the testing fee and to complete paperwork required for testing (allow 15-20 minutes). After completion of the paperwork, you may select a test date from the dates available at that time:

WHEN YOU COME TO PRE-REGISTER:

IF YOU ARE 18 OR OLDER BRING

• Photo ID/proof of age
• Know your Social Security #
• $65 Fee (Includes $15 non-refundable State GED Admin Fee/State Fee will increase to $20 on April 15, 2010 for a total fee of $70)

IF YOU ARE 16 OR 17 BRING

• Photo ID/proof of age
• Know your Social Security #
• $65 Fee (Includes $15 non-refundable State GED Admin Fee) 
• Parent/guardian notarized permission
• Last school's withdrawal slip (not copy)

Additional Information

• Bring 2 approved IDs when you come to test
• There is a reschedule fee of $10
• Must wait 30 days before retesting
• There is a retest fee of $10
