Prior to applying to the Yavapai College Nursing Program you must take the Nursing Preadmission Exam. For complete information about the Nursing Program application process and test dates click here.
Yavapai College nursing students are required to demonstrate math competency by passing math assessments as part of their nursing course work. A computer-based software, Nurse ProCalc, is used for this purpose. It has the capacity to generate thousands of clinically-accurate questions. There is no fee charged to YC nursing students for this testing.
Nursing 131 and 132 must wait a full day before being allowed to retest. Nursing 231 and 232 may take up to two retests per day, however, they must take a break of 15-30 minutes between tests. The student course calendar outlines the due date for completion of this test.
