Choral Ensembles

Welcome to Choral Ensemble at Yavapai College. Here you will discover the exciting opportunities available in choral music. There are six different ensembles from which to choose. Four ensembles (Master Chorale, Chamber Choir, Chamber Singers, and Angelorum) require auditions for enrollment. Two ensembles (Community Chorale and Vocal Ensemble) require no audition.

Choirs that meet in the evening are:

• Master Chorale (MUS 224): Darrell Rowader, Director.
  Monday evening. Audition required (Call 776-2044 to arrange an audition.)
• Community Chorale (MUS 225): Darrell Rowader, Director.
  Tuesday evening. No audition required.

Choirs that meet during the day are:

• Chamber Choir (MUS 226): Dr. Will Fisher Director.
  Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Available for students working on any Yavapai College degree. Audition required. (Call 776-2044 to arrange an audition.)
• Vocal Ensemble (MUS 223): Dr. Will Fisher Director.
  Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Open to all interested singers. No audition required.
• Chamber Singers (MUS 222): Dr. Will Fisher Director.
  Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Students must be either majoring or minoring in music to qualify for this ensemble. Audition required. (Call 776-2044 to arrange an audition.)
• Angelorum (MUS 227): Dr. Will Fisher Director.
  Monday and Wednesday at 12:00 noon. This is a women’s chorale. Open by audition only. Call 776-2044 to arrange an audition.)
