Formed in 1994, the Yavapai County Community Foundation was one of the Arizona Community Foundation's first affiliates. The YCCF has just published two reports (in English and Spanish) funded by the ACF and The Ellis Center for Educational Excellence. The first, Educating Arizona: Assessing Our Education System tracks the relevant data for our children Kindergarten through Grade 12. The second, Building Our Foundation: Assessing Early Care and Education in Arizona is the Birth to age 5 report.
Please contact Traci Corey at (928) 499-9795 if you would like to receive a copy of either or both.
Arizona voters decided in 2006 to approve a tax on tobacco to benefit our young children, birth to five, with high quality early childhood programs in education, development and health. At this time 31 Regional Partnership Councils statewide have determined their communities’ needs. More than 80 percent of all program revenue ($150 million per year) has been guaranteed to be pumped into those communities.
The Child Trends DataBank offers researched data briefs on topics of greatest concern to policy makers, service providers, the media and parents.
The Arizona Community Foundation is a statewide philanthropy and partnership of donors, staff, volunteers, nonprofit organizations and the community working together to empower and align philanthropic interests with community needs and build a legacy of giving.
