Debbie Beck - Assistant Director - (928) 776-2139

Debbie Beck is the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. Debbie previously worked in the financial aid office at two of our local colleges, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Prescott College. She has almost 20 years financial aid experience and enjoys helping students and being part of their success. She focuses not only on current YC students, but also stays in touch with former YC students to assist them with debt management strategies. Tricia Teruya is a Financial Aid Advisor at the Prescott Campus who serves students whose last names begin with the letters A through G. She has been with Yavapai College since January 1997. She has an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Systems and Applications and an Associate of Applied Science in Office Administration from Yavapai College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Upper Iowa University. Barbara Nash is a Financial Aid Advisor at the Prescott Campus who serves students whose last names begin with H through O. She joined the Yavapai College Financial Aid Office in November 2003. Her previous experience includes seven years in the financial aid office of Eastern Arizona College and extensive public relations work. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Office Administration. Scott Nardo - Veteran Services Coordinator - 928-717-7613 & 634-6564

Veteran Services Coordinator, holds a BA in English from ASU and completed two years of graduate study at University of Northern Colorado. He is the primary contact in the district for students applying for VA Education Benefits, and he is trained as an academic advisor and financial aid advisor as well. Deborah Schumacher - Financial Aid Technician - (928) 634-6502

Deborah Schumacher is the part time financial aid technician at the Verde Valley Campus. She has worked in the Verde Campus Student Services department for three years. Not satisfied with the blinding pace of the Student Services front desk, Deborah moved into a position with Financial Aid, where her door is always open, the phones are always ringing,and the skies are not cloudy all day. She is available to answer financial aid questions and help with the financial aid process. Deborah also helps both students and employers use Job Finder, our job posting and referral system, as well as being the contact for on-campus student employment paperwork. Email Deborah Schumacher

Greg Gallegos - Financial Aid Advisor - (928) 649-4591

Greg Gallegos is the financial aid advisor for the Verde Valley campus. He began work at Yavapai College in March of 2005. He and his family moved from Los Lunas, New Mexico and are currently living in Cottonwood. He has six years of financial aid experience, four of which come from a two-year college in New Mexico. He has his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, which he received from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Email Greg Gallegos

Marcee is the Student Employment Coordinator. Marcee is responsible for on- and off-campus student employment, Federal Work Study, and, along with Michael Brown in Career Services, Career Fair. She has worked at Yavapai College for nine years in several student services positions. Marcee received her Master’s of Education in Human Relations and Counseling from Northern Arizona University.
