What is an Interactive Classroom?

Yavapai College uses Videoconferencing and Visual Communication technology from Tandberg to create and maintain a robust and reliant real-time synchronous aural and visual communications network.

A single Interactive Classroom can be connected via the industry recognized H.323 communication protocol to any other single or multiple other Interactive Classrooms and Conference rooms throughout the Yavapai College district. This technology gives educators the ability to physically teach at one campus location with complete interactivity to students on other campuses.

How Do I Use an Interactive Classroom?

The exceptional staff of Technology Enhanced Learning Services (TELS) have created both printed and multimedia based instructions for YC’s Interactive Classrooms. Training can be arranged by contacting the Help Desk at 928-776-2168 or by email.

What does an Interactive Classroom look like?

  • Yavapai College currently has 10 Interactive Classrooms district wide.
    • Prescott:  Room 2-216, Room 19-215, Room 30-126
    • Prescott Valley:  Room 40-106
    • CVAg:  Room 55-103
    • Verde:  Room D-110, Room D-111, Room L-215, Room M-204
    • Sedona:  Room SCAT-34
