What is a Technology Equipped Classroom?

If you teach in a Yavapai College classroom, there’s a good chance it’s equipped with at least some level of technology. Ranging from a set-up as simple as a ceiling mounted digital projector and a PC, to a full-blown touch-panel operated multimedia install including classroom capture technology, Yavapai College has it all.

Below is an overview of YC’s Technology Equipped Classrooms, but please be aware that this is just an overview as consistent district-wide standards are not yet in place.

A Basic Technology Equipped Classroom consists of the following:

• Ceiling Mounted Digital Projector
• DVD/VCR Combo
• Document Camera
• PC

An Intermediate Technology Equipped Classroom consists of the following:

• Ceiling Mounted Digital Projector
• DVD/VCR Combo
• Document Camera
• PC
• Amplified Audio
• Presentation Switcher/Scaler
• IP Based Touch Panel Control System

An Advanced Technology Equipped Classroom consists of the following:

• Ceiling Mounted Digital Projector

• Document Camera
• PC
• Amplified Audio
• Presentation Switcher/Scaler
• IP Based Touch Panel Control System
• Ceiling or Wall mounted Camera
• Wireless Instructor Microphone System
• Classroom Capture Technology
