Small Business Development Center
The Yavapai College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides free and confidential support to small business owners and entrepreneurs through counseling and training. In addition to counseling and training, the YC SBDC also provides opportunities including strategic performance retreats and seminars and workshops (fees may apply), many of which earn college credit.
Small Business Entrepreneurship Certificate
A series of twelve, five-week courses will provide you with a broad understanding of entrepreneurship, management and leadership, and how combining these skills can help lead to success. Improve Your Skills
Do you have an effective business plan? Do you need better managerial skills? The Fast-Track Program might be for you. Is your accounting a little rusty? Are your customers more comfortable speaking in a different language? How familiar are you with the Internet as a means of doing business? If you could use a “refresher” in these or other areas, Yavapai College has classes and schedules to meet your needs.

Yavapai College has a significant pool of talented and enthusiastic students whose skills might be the perfect fit for your small business. Hiring student employees can be rewarding for both the student and your small business – you get low-cost, enthusiastic and flexible labor and the student gains valuable real-world experience. From paper and pens to multi-ton air handling units, Yavapai College purchases a variety of products and services each year.
