1. Apply for admission to Yavapai College.
2. Take the reading, writing, and math Compass assessments. Yavapai College believes correct course placement is a powerful factor in student retention and success. Therefore, the college requires assessment of competency in reading, writing, and mathematics. You may be able to take the assessments on the day that you attend New Student Group Advising.

Please call the appropriate campus (phone numbers below) to set up your assessment appointment. For more information about the assessments, please click on Testing Services.

If you cannot attend New Student Group Advising on one of the scheduled dates, please contact the appropriate campus location (phone numbers above) to discuss individual circumstances.
