The Mile High Talent Show (formerly “Prescott’s Got Talent”) at the Yavapai College Performance Hall. Performance time: TBA
Balance-In-Motion performers Heather Marriott and Neil Jordaan (bottom left photo) perform for the crowd Saturday night during the Mile High Talent Show at the Yavapai College Performance Hall in Prescott. Balance-In-Motion took second place in the competition and took home a $500 prize.
Meanwhile, Maggie Smith (right side photo), a Yavapai College student, sings "On My Own" from Les Miserables. Smith took first place in the competition and won a prize of $1,000.

Showcasing twenty-four top shelf acts during this fun night out, attendees supported the Yavapai College Scholarship Funds through their ticket purchases. As a first year event we were pleased with the attendance of over 300 and earnings of $5,000 for our Alumni scholarship fund. We aim to double that this year.
Auditions will be held on October 19 and 20th, 2011 from 5-9 p.m. in the Yavapai College Performance Hall. We will be selecting acts to create a theatrical revue consisting of music, dance, comedy, magic and skits.
“We are very excited to see what this talented community will offer this year, and performers will be eligible for some great prizes and awards thanks to our current sponsors - Arizona's Home Town Radio Group, Cable One, The Daily courier, and Stauffenberg Studio. A cash award of $1,000 will be presented to the overall winner and a lucky runner act up will receive $500.” said Barbara Claybaugh, Alumni Outreach Director for Yavapai College Foundation.
