College Republicans is an organization that is dedicated to promoting conservative values on the college campus. We strive to encourage political activism by college students. We would like to see more students involved in debating the issues that face our nation.
The YC Robotics Club's aim to spread awareness and raise interest within our school and our community about robotics and robotic competitions including Sumobots and the MATE (Marine Advanced Technology Education Center) ROV (remote operated vehicle) competition. Club members will work with educators and other clubs to earn valuable life experience with robotics, technology, and science.
The Salsa Rueda Club is a group of dancers who learn and perform Salsa Rueda dances as a public service. Salsa Rueda is an intricate partner dance with a caller. Each Rueda move has a name and a hand sign, and many of the moves are partner-passing moves involving dancing with every leader/follower as the dance progresses. Demonstrations are performed for various community groups, such as the VA hospital, the Pioneer Home, local nursing homes, etc.
The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is responsible for maintaining a communication link between students, faculty, staff, and administration. It is a student resource and service organization. SlC provides a voice for student concerns and ideas for improvement of Yavapai College.
All students enrolled in the nursing program are members. This club works with the community on several projects during the school year to assist those who may have health, financial, or educational needs.
