Transfer and articulation

Find statewide Articulation Task Force representation and follow the institutional process for developing a transfer agreement.

Use this process when another college or university approaches Yavapai College about a transfer partnership, or when YC wishes to pursue a new transfer agreement.

  1. Notify the Curriculum Coordinator in the Office of Instruction. The coordinator will consult with the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs to assess the need and begin discussions with the transfer institution.
  2. The Office of Instruction will provide and verify course-by-course or program requirements. A division or department may be asked to supply additional discipline-specific information.
  3. The agreement will be reviewed by the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs and then by the Provost. Requested revisions will return to the Office of Instruction.
  4. The revised agreement will be sent to Procurement and Contract Services at procurement@yc.edu for contract review and final corrections.
  5. Procurement and Contract Services will coordinate final signatures, provide the signed agreement to the partner institution, retain the official contract, and distribute copies to the appropriate YC offices.
  6. The Associate Vice President of Student Affairs will provide the agreement information needed to update transfer advising resources.

University partner information is available through the Transfer Center.
