G.I.F.T. Center

The mission of The Great Ideas for Teaching (G.I.F.T.) Center is to motivate, sustain, and facilitate innovative teaching and learning practices and to build a culture that values, supports and rewards teaching excellence.

The G.I.F.T. Center is a place to:

  • Reflect, share, and connect in ways that energizes our commitment to teaching.
  • Foster a culture of inquiry into student learning and its improvement.
  • Explore, implement, evaluate, and share innovations in teaching.
  • Create a unifying "hub" of resources that are centralized, visible, and easily accessible.

G.I.F.T. Center Resource Rooms

The Prescott and Verde campuses provide a physical space for both informal and formal faculty interaction. Each resource room includes comfortable seating, computer space, telephone hook-ups for inter-campus conferencing, and a variety of print materials on teaching and learning. Drop in and share lunch with a colleague, arrange a division or committee meeting, practice multi-media techniques, etc.
