Family & Medical Leave
Who is Eligible and When Benefits You Receive Employee Pays College Pays
An eligible employee is an individual who has been employed by the College at least 12 months prior to the commencement of the leave, has worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period prior to the leave, and is employed at a worksite with at least 50 employees within 75 miles of that worksite. Eligible employees may take up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job protected leave each year for specified family and medical reasons. The College requires employees to use earned and accrued paid leave, such as sick and vacation, to the extent permissible under the FMLA, as part of the leave. 0% 100% of program costs

Long-term Disability After-Tax

Long Term Disability available based on the retirement choice of the employee Arizona State Retirement System: Employees who have selected ASRS as their retirement plan are automatically covered for long term disability under that plan. Optional Retirement Plans: Employees who have chosen one of the optional retirement plans (AIG, ING, TIAA-CREF) are enrolled in a long term disability plan with Standard. 1. The Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) is a “defined benefit” plan administered through the state of Arizona which guarantees a regular annuity.
2. The Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) is a “defined contribution” plan through various investment providers (AIG, ING, TIAA-CREF).

All employees have this mandatory coverage (except student employees). Provides a basic retirement annuity based on age and years of contribution. Reduced retirement benefits begin at age 62. Holidays

Benefit eligible full-time employees. Effective date of hire. 23 days during the year as paid holidays for full-time employees.  Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day preceding and the day following Thanksgiving Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, five consecutive business days (Spring Break), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day, and ten consecutive business days (Winter Break).
Full-time employees working less than 12 months a year are paid if the holiday falls during the employee's scheduled work period.

Insurance Subsidy
Who is Eligible and When Benefits You Receive Employee Pays College Pays
Separated benefit eligible full-time employees.  Must have reached the age of 55 years and 15 years of continuous service.
The College will pay regular full-time employees, who separate employment, that have reached the age of 55 and 15 years of continuous service, up to a maximum of $1,000 per year for premiums toward the employee's group insurance up to age 65.

Leave Bank

Benefit eligible full-time employees.    Must be employed with the college for a minimum of 12 months. Full-Time employees may join the Leave Bank by donating a vacation day if a 12 month employee or a sick day if a less than 12 month employee. Employee must have a balance of 5 days of accrued vacation/sick leave after their donation. 100% 0%
Personal Days

Sabbatical

Faculty, professional and administrative staff eligible to apply after six years of continuous service. Approved sabbatical leaves may include 100% compensation for a one semester leave and 60% compensation for a full year leave. 0% 100%
Sick Leave

Benefit eligible full-time employees. Full-time 12 month employees accrue one day illness absence credit for each month worked, not to exceed 12 days (96 hours) per year. Full-time employees working less than 12 months a year accrue 10 days (80 hours) per year.
Payment upon Termination: Employees who separate employment after 15 years of continuous service receive a payout of accumulated sick leave, up to 70 days (560 hours), at the rate of $60.00 per day, not to exceed $4,200.
