All long distance calls from college telephones require the use of a Personal Identification Number (PIN). The college contracts with AT&T to provide calling cards for Long Distance calls made from off campus.
As noted in the Yavapai College Acceptable Use Statement, PIN's and Calling Cards are to be used for College business calls only.
"Personal Identification Numbers assigned to employees for long distance phone calling must be used for College business calls only. Long distance records are monitored monthly. Employees making personal long distance phone calls utilizing their PIN code will be held financially responsible for such calls."
To obtain a long distance PIN, the employee's Supervisor/Budget Manager must send an e-mail/memo to Telephony Support requesting a PIN number. The request should include the employee's first and last name and telephone extension. A PIN number normally can be issued the same day it is requested.
