Whether you are a student who excels or struggles with studies, we encourage you to enhance the quality of your college educational experience at the Learning Center.
Tutoring is free and available to ALL students enrolled in academic courses for which they seek assistance at Yavapai College.
Tutoring services are offered as drop-in (no appointment necessary). Group tutoring sessions can be established on request.
Tutoring is available for most courses including math, science, writing and other subjects by request.
Access is available to networked software and numerous other computer-based learning support software as well as to the Internet, e-mail and the myYC Portal.
In addition, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) adaptive equipment and software is available by prior arrangement through the Disability Resources.
Registered Yavapai College students can ask questions of our tutors through the online forms (click on the campus link of your choice to the right). A response will be given within 2 business days.
To use "Ask-a-Tutor", log into your myYC account, click the 'Student Life' tab and you'll find the 'Ask-a-Tutor' link in the 'Student Resources' channel.
If you need a quick guide to the writing process or help with your drafts, this resource is for you! Currently enrolled students needing help with any writing assignment may submit their paper online and receive a response within 2 business days.

When you can't visit the Learning Center in person, you can Skype a tutor for a "live" tutoring session from your home computer. Service available only during regular hours of operation at the Verde Learning Center. Please download the SKYPE instructions
Tutors are unable to do your homework, edit or proofread your work or help with take-home or online tests.
