How to set up and get your standard bulk mail sent
Any mailing that has 200 or more pieces of the exact same mail piece must go bulk mail. New software is available to help you with your Bulk Mailings.
Please call the Mail Center for instructions before starting to prepare your Bulk Mailing.
There are specific guidelines that must be followed for your mailing to be accepted as a bulk mailing by the Post Office, so please let us help you prepare so that you do not have to re-do work.
The Standard (Bulk) Mail Request Form is the first step in your contact with the Mail Center when processing a bulk mailing. Please fill out and submit this form.
The Mail Center requires a 2 - 3 day lead time to process all bulk mailings under 2,000 pieces. A week lead time is necessary for mailings over 2,000 pieces.
When sending an address file to the Mail Center for us to prepare for a bulk mailing, please send it in a delimited text format, preferably an excel file.
Attached is the return address template for you to use as your return address or mailer page when printing a flyer for bulk mail purposes. It has the YC logo in the return address column and the bulk mail imprint in the upper right hand corner. Please replace Mail Center with your department name and change the PMB to reflect your departmental PMB. If you need help with the mailing account code (it requires a special font), please contact us and we'll be happy to set this up for you as a .pdf so that you don't have to download the barcode font. Please contact Becky if you need assistance with a return address format.
We now have the capability to help you with mail merge projects and folding/inserting. Please contact Becky for details.
