Admissions Requirements
International students must satisfy the requirements of the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) in addition to those of Yavapai College.
Required Document List for International Students
Please note: Applications will not be considered until all of the following documents or information are received. (See deadlines below.)
- Evidence of English Language proficiency as indicated by acceptable score on the Test of English As A Foreign Language (TOEFL).
- The International Student Admission Application. The application and the financial guarantee statement must be signed.
- U.S. $100 non-refundable application fee payable to "Yavapai College" by check or money order.
- Certified copies of official transcripts from each secondary school, college, and university. If you would like Yavapai College to determine possible transfer credits from international postsecondary colleges or universities you have attended, please contact a foreign credential evaluation service, approved by Yavapai College. See the attached list.
- Proof of U.S. Health Insurance. All international students are required to maintain U.S. health insurance. You may purchase the appropriate insurance through Yavapai College for a reasonable fee, which is due at the time of registration each semester or through your own source.
Please note: All records must be accompanied by a certified English translation if the original copy is in another language. Records must indicate courses completed, grade or marks obtained, and certificate or degree awarded.

Yavapai College accepts international student application materials throughout each year. The deadlines below allow time for the College to receive and evaluate documents, process and mail the I-20 form, and for students to obtain an F-1 Student Visa and travel to the U.S.

If you are already in the U.S. and transferring to Yavapai College...
If you are already in the U.S. with an F-1 Student Visa and transferring to Yavapai College, application requirements are the same with the exception of needing to obtain an F-1 Student Visa. An International Student Transfer Form must also be completed and returned to Yavapai College before your transfer can be approved.
