Transcripts are the permanent academic records of each student maintained by Yavapai College of the courses completed, grades assigned, credit earned, and credentials awarded. Transcripts are protected by federal law, are confidential and are issued only by request from the student.
Official transcripts are printed on safety paper with bank-note style features that protects students' records from tampering. Normally, official transcripts are required by colleges and universities and by potential employers. There is a charge for official transcripts.
Unofficial transcripts are generally used by students for their own records. Unofficial transcripts are available to students through the myYC portal.
Note: Transcript requests are not accepted by telephone, fax, or e-mail. In compliance with federal law, transcripts are released only with the written consent of the student. No other person (including parent or spouse) may authorize a student's transcript to be released.

The National Student Clearinghouse provides an online ordering service for Yavapai College students. Using the Clearinghouse you can order multiple transcripts to be sent to multiple locations in one session using a credit card for payment. You'll be guided through the easy step-by-step process and receive email updates on your order, which you can track online.

They may be ordered at any campus, but are only available for pick up at the Prescott Campus.
Transcript Fees
• Official Transcripts - $10.00 by mail or in person, $7.25 through the Clearinghouse.
• Unofficial Transcripts - free through the myYC portal.
Yavapai College strives to fulfill transcript requests within two working days, however up to one week may be required.
Transcripts will not be issued if any obligations are due to Yavapai College.
In accordance with the federal Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act, all requests must bear the student’s signature. No official transcripts will be faxed, since they must bear a secure seal of the Office of the Registrar.
Students transferring to another institution may order a Yavapai College transcript by one of the three methods listed above.
Students who have completed work at other institutions and wish to apply credits toward their Yavapai College degree or certificate must have official transcripts sent directly to Yavapai College Registrar's Office, by the previous institution.To verify receipt and to request evaluation for transfer credit, Email Transcriptrequest@yc.edu or call (928) 776-2149. Transfer students should contact the Academic Advising Office to obtain academic advice as early as possible.
