About our 3 Residence Halls - Marapai, Supai, and Kachina

Important information below - What you should know about being assigned a room:

  1. Yavapai College will place each student according to their age and the preferences stated in the application.
  2. We aim to keep the age of roommates within two years but may need to move folks around to fill capacity.
  3. Each hall has a different floor plan, and a variety of room configurations. You may be assigned a room that is somewhat different in size from what you previewed in a hall tour.
  4. Single rooms are available in Marapai and Kachina, depending on occupancy at an additional fee.
    Requests are granted on a first come, first served basis.

Marapai Hall - Building 8

Marapai Hall is set up as double occupancy.

Traditionally, we assign incoming freshman students here first.

Supai Hall - Building 9

Supai is a suite-style setup but still only two people per room.

We fill Supai with any additional Freshmen not housed in Marapai and returning students as they request.

Kachina Hall - Building 10

Kachina is double-occupancy.

Houses non-traditional (21 and over) students.

Residence Halls include:
  1. Free laundry facilities. Marapai and Supai have two laundry rooms each; Kachina has one. Residents must supply their own detergent, fabric softener, etc.
  2. Full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, and sink
  3. 24-hour study lounges
  4. Pool tables, ping pong tables and board games
  5. Vending machines
  6. Vacuums available for use
  7. On call staff members at night
All College Residence Hall rooms include:
  1. A extra long twin bed, desk, closet and dresser for each resident
  2. Private bathrooms
  3. Basic Cable TV (residents must provide their own television; premium channels available at additional cost through Cable One)
  4. High speed/Wireless Internet hook-up
