  • Step 3: Search for open positions on the Yavapai College Job Opportunity Website.
  • Step 4: Schedule an interview with the supervisor.
  • Step 5: Once hired, please print new hire documents from the student employment website and complete before returning them to the student employment office for review along with the required identification.

You CANNOT start working until all paperwork has been submitted and reviewed.

  • Step 6:Fill out a job interest card located on the human resources website so you will get notifications when jobs in the area you are interesting in working come available.

Federal Work-Study Eligible Students

Students who have unmet need according to standardized calculations on the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), may be eligible for federal work-study (FWS) earnings.

What this means is that employers on campus prefer to hire you because your FWS award pays for 75% of your wages and the employer only pays 25%. In other words, if you have $1000 in FWS award, your employer only pays $250 and the federal government pays the rest.

Of course, doing good work for your employer keeps you employed!
