EMS and Fire Science Reading Test
Yavapai College requires a reading test for both the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Fire Science programs.
About the reading proficiency tests
Individuals must demonstrate their reading proficiency by taking the reading portion of the COMPASS computer-based reading test. The COMPASS test is untimed. The average time taken is approximately thirty minutes. The ASSET reading test is timed and takes twenty-five minutes.
