Prepare for your GED Test at Yavapai College
In January 2014, the current GED test will be replaced in the State of Arizona. That means students who started their testing under the current series need to pass all five parts before the end of 2013 … or start completely over in 2014.

Who is eligible to take the GED test?
The GED Test can be administered only to persons who are NOT currently enrolled in an accredited high school, have NOT graduated from an accredited high school, have NOT received or qualified for a high school-level equivalency credential, and are age 16 or older.
You Must Pre-register
Visit the Testing Center on the Prescott Campus, Bldg 1-225 or the Registration/ Business Office on the Verde Campus, Bldg I, to pay the testing fee and to complete paperwork required for testing (allow 30 minutes). You must register at the site where you wish to test.
After completion of the paperwork, you may select a test date from the dates available at that time.
When you come to pre-register:
- If you are 18 or older:
- Photo ID/proof of age
- Know your Social Security #
- $80 Fee (Includes $30 non-refundable State GED Admin Fee)
- If you are 16-17 bring:
- Photo ID/proof of age
- Know your Social Security #
- $80 Fee (Includes $30 non-refundable State GED Admin Fee)
- Parent/guardian notarized permission
- Last school's withdrawal slip (not copy)
Additional Information
- Bring 2 approved IDs when you come to test (Original documents only, no laminated SS cards, no laminated birth certificates are acceptable.)
- There is a reschedule fee of $10
- Must wait 30 days before retesting
- There is a retest fee of $10
