The primary goal of the Veterans Upward Bound-Trio program is to prepare eligible college bound veterans for successful enrollment and completion of post-secondary education.

We have found that many Veterans put off continuing their education due to academic fears or not understanding the educational process. The Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program and staff are here to assist you - we are here to help you conquer your academic fears and successfully navigate you through the educational process.

Do you qualify for VUB Services?

To quality, you must meet the following:

Served at least 181 days of active service
Something other than a dishonorable discharge
Does not have a completed bachelors degree

Then one or both of the following:

A veteran who is a first generation college student (neither parent completed a four year degree)
A veteran who is economically disadvantaged

From Discharge to College Student

Veterans Upward Bound is designed to motivate and assist veterans in the development of academic and other requisite skills necessary for acceptance and success in a program of postsecondary education.

The program provides assessment and enhancement of basic skills through:

Counseling
Mentoring
Tutoring
Core subject area instruction
